Bank Balance Depletion!

Well after a visit to Excel the bank balance isn't looking as healthy as it was!

After having a good look at a 330, a 360, the humongous 390, and with a bit of guidance from Terry and a really helpful customer from Lyme Regis with a Virago 350 on a trailer, we decided that the SD360 was the one for us

An Excel SD360 in red, a Merc 15HP, bow canopy, transom wheels (went for the new plastic/nylon ones that Terry had just got in), Sevyelor inflator and a comfy bow seat for my beloved

I'm really happy with the deal and I'm sure Terry is too.

Pick it all up next Wednesday. Troutbeck caravan site booked for the 1st week in August, maiden voyage - yes you've guessed it - Ullswater.

I'll post some pics as soon as it's inflated with the transom wheels on.

Nearly forgot, thanks to all who helped me come to the decision I have, especially Pumpkinking.

I think I might be a bit jealous! Haha congratulations, I can say from experience that you won’t be disappointed. Looking forward to the photos and tales of your adventures.

A 15hp is definitely on the cards for a year or two’s time.

Enjoy.....
It won’t be long until the spending will continue (life jackets, fenders, VHF etc etc), all in a good cause and worth it once you’re on the water!!!!

Shit!!!! Fenders! VHF! What have I got myself into and life jackets - what's the matter with the red armbands/waterwings I've got.

Seriously though, I hadn't thought about fenders - recommendations would be appreciated and what kind of anchor - I had thought 2.5kg folding grapple with chain and 30mtrs of rope?
