I can help you with that - I fitted some beachmaster types a couple of months ago but have since replaced them with those very wheels - Seamax Deluxe 4x4. They are great I must say...

It might be a job for another thread but I can put up a few pics and a little review. Amazing build quality, best I've seen by far. Heft price tag!
Not had a chance to try them out on the hard/slipway yet...

It's the real man remark! It really hurt my feelings, so much so I nearly sobbed my heart out

So what's this lawnmower? - New thread me thinks.

Another transom wheel thread! Yeah definitely up for that. Can’t wait lads. [emoji51]

Joking apart really rate Seamax wheels. Those big yellow (Fenlander) wheelbarrow jobbies of ours are spinning on some Russian black market Seamax copies and the best set we’ve ever had bar Zodiac’s Z6110.

Heard a rumour recently that Boatworld may soon be stocking Seamax.

I’m just over compensating with my inferiority complex again Steve…bigger wheels….my big red beast is larger than yours….you know what I’m like….I can’t help myself

So what's this lawnmower? - New thread me thinks.

Just a small teaser……it’s got a battery!

In depth review to follow and of course will make a video of it running on a barrel and will do extensive testing to determine how fast it runs at WOT.

We will have to wait for safe weather conditions to venture out, and will make sure I’ve got full safety gear and a back up, just in case something goes wrong half way through the run.

But if all goes wrong and it starts falling apart, I know I can rely on you good folks here to help out us newbies.

I’ve got the very same on order from Amazon, they’re taking their time to get here though. Where did you order yours from?

Sorry PD haven't actually bought them....Still studying Tyre Porn on YouTube

Haven't swung either way yet due to finances, health and other crap going on.

But torn between:

2nd hand Van/ small day van home conversion.

Towbar fitted( but considering changing car soon)

New car with towbar and a box trailer to fit almost everything in and semi perminant or full time storage. Basic version of your set up.

Open general trailer which can convert with bunks for boat use for local launch....then normal trailer the rest of the year.

So I think once we get that side sorted....choice of wheels might become clearer.

I did like the idea of the beachmaster type for some scenarios and the cost saving. But if we go the open trailer route, these would do the business better possibly, unless factoring in a simple ramp.

The only negatives I've seen with seamax in reviews are the pin have had a few issues....but that could of course be down to operator error and possibly being fitted too low as is specifically mentioned in one video.

Tyre boyancy could be an issue but as the guys say some yellow barrow tyres sort that out( other colours may be available) but may be inferior

But look forward, with tissues at the ready, to see how you get on when yours hopefully arrive soon.

Spoil sport....now I'm jealous i just got the semi pro yellow. But at least I know who to call if I get in trouble.
You'll have to do a full service tutorial, and how to superglue if it breaks

I had some Seamax 4x4 on order from Amazon for a few days but then realised my payment hadn't gone through which was odd. I cancelled and ordered again and same thing happened - I think it was something to do with the international order but not usually a problem with Amazon.
So I went to Seamax themselves and paid a premium price - they emailed me and warned me that I'd have to pay import duty and VAT - when the wheels arrived the driver just dropped them off and left.... shhhhh I think I got away with it!

They're quite honestly 10x better build quality than anything I've had and I've had 5 sets in 3 yrs. Even the pins and the hardware feel great quality... really easy mechanism to use which we all appreciate when you're leaning over the back of a boat.
Spoiler alert - because they're chunky and well built they are reasonably heavy so will add a little weight to your setup. But they sit under the boat so nicely (as my transom has quite an angle on it) and that counter balances everything perfectly with the engine on.

Tempted to start that new Seamax thread (!) but this one has got lawnmowers and all sorts in its so....

I ordered mine a couple of weeks back & payment has only just been taken by Amazon. They don’t take any money until the goods are dispatched, which is pretty fair. They’re due 18th August.

ahh right, I wish they'd told me that .... they said that it mist have gone out of stock as I ordered it or something like that. Still all told I got them for a similar price.

You'll be happy with them I'm sure - finally feel like the wheels are on a par with the boat - this is something that Excel didn't have quite right - I had 2 sets of cheap wheels from them and the boat was such good quality. True Kit have got this right with in-house fitting wheels that are fit for purpose. Boatworld similar with their blue wheels fitted to their KAT Sport boat.

Nothing wrong with my "Beachmaster type" wheels as far as l can tell.

Seem solid, not loose, and work well. Bearings are plastic. Quick release works well but holes need to be very accurate....1mm out and the wheels won't go on to the boat.

l ended up drilling them 1mm oversized to enable a small amount of adjustment.

l would upload photos but l get an "invalid file" message even when l reduce the size to under 300Kb

The ones I got were a poor fit in the “down” locking pins, they were sloppy side to side & the ally had cracked on the operating handle where it had been bent. Apart from that they were fine…
