bombard 380 leaky boat valve

hi all
my bombard has a tube valve which is a bit leaky any one changed one i have tried to undo the outer ring but cant budge it any ideas would just changing the screw in bit sort it like this one here Ron Hale Marine Ltd - Zodiac Semi-Recessed Valve Cap Screw Type

Hi
Is the valve leaking even with the cap tighten on? Or only without the cap? On mine one valve leaks without the cap pretty much, but with the cap on no leak. If the cap is leaking guess a new O ring gasket would sort that one. If it's leaking significantly without the cap on, then maybe this would help:

its leaking with the valve done up as tight as i can get it ,so may be an o ring
