Bombard Typhoon with seam separation

I looking at a Typhoon 420, 2012, that has reported seam separation in the bow tube. The photos show a completely flat bow section which the owner says is due to a seam.

Was wondering how serious and fatal this issue is for these models. Is repair feasible and economic, of should I just avoid this "bargain"? Price is a mere $250 but repairs will push up the price I'm sure since I'd want this done professionally, and don't want a seam letting loose in December when I'm in the middle of the bay duck hunting.

I understand that this is a PVC boat, fairly light weight PVC if I recall correctly, and glued construction. That's why I'm concerned about a seam issue needing repair.

Would appreciate the collective wisdom of the group on this.

The Typhoon is a budget Bombard model and from what you say seems unlike the premium models all the tube seams are glued not welded.

Problem is usually glue failure will run through the whole boat once it starts going... might be a couple of years or maybe only months before the problem happens to other seams.

Yes. Talked to an inflatable repair shop and they concurred on the issue, said they had a lot of experience and thought the glue issue would be a continuous and serious one. Definitely going to give this deal a pass.
