Bravo BP 12 or BTP 12 Difference

Hi all

After my Ruitix pump burst into flames this weekend I have decided to get myself a Bravo. Could anyone tell me difference between the BP12 and the BTP12 pumps please? I really want to get it right first time this time. We ended up using a foot pump to get on the water. My right leg is now like Chris Boardmans and our trip out was a wobbly affair due to under inflation and guesswork!
Still had a great day though!

BP12 is the basic pump with a single stage action giving a flow of around 120 l/min. BTP12 has a dual stage action with an initial turbine phase pumping 450 l/min then it auto switches to the high pressure stage of 160 l/min using a piston pump.

In my opinion the BP12 is suited to paddle boards and very small SIBs as it's slow and noisy. The turbine stage of the BTP12 gets something like the Elling filled quickly and is far less offensive noise wise in this initial stage.

The other choice is a digital display or manometer on the BTP12 models. I had the digital one for some 8yrs and its only faults later in its life related to the digital display so I replaced it with the manometer one. Usually saves about £20 too.

BTW great pic... great combo!

Thank you for the information Fenlander, I will go for the BPT12 with dial, sounds perfect to me for my needs.

Yes, we are very pleased with the set up but in fairness have nothing to compare it with! Such a shame about the conflict in Ukraine, not sure whats happened to the Elling factory in Marioupol but I hope they are all safe.

Hello I have the GE BTP and love it. Pumps inflatable up to required pressure and also deflates the inflatable as well. I bought a small 12v battery to go with it and all works well.
