Building a Floor for a Zodiac MKIII GR

I have a Zodiac MK3 GR that I'd like to rebuild the floor in. Long story short, the boat was given to me with a few minor leaks and no floor. I attempted to put in a floor from another inflatable and cut a few new panels from marine plywood to make it fit. I guess I underestimated the force an outboard puts on the floor. The floor starts to buckle and flex if I try to open up the throttle on my jet. Could any of you gentlemen provide dimensions and detailed pictures of a MK3 GR floor? I have a few ideas for a 2 or 3 piece plywood floor with aluminum stringers, but I'd like to know a bit more about the original floors. Can any of you tell me if the factory floor clips onto the small aluminum ledge on the transom, or does the floor sit on top of it?
Thanks!

The floors panels can some times be found on Ebay or at marine salvage stores.

Cheers

AKhunter You should consider Bobs solution. I'm on the similar way too.

Measure from the tip of the bow floor joint where the bow board rests to your transom batten.

Your floor should be approximately 1" longer than that dimension. It needs to physically stretch the boat when you install it.

Thank you Berat! That's just the info I needed. Also thanks for the link to Bob's thread. Looks like I need to sit down with a cup of coffee and do some reading!

How do I tell? Is there a way to cross-reference that off of the SN? I've found a few places that can do that for just about every Zodiac except the Grand Raid series.

Just realized that there is a hull serial number on the backside of the transom. It's a nice long alphanumeric code starting with "ES"- presumably denoting country of MFG (Spain), and ending in "A999". If I understand correctly from all my googling, the last 2 denote year of MFG- 1999. Does that sound about right?

Yes that boat would be a 1999 model.
