camping poole harbour

Hi all

Anyone know of a pet friendly campsite with boat access to poole harbour? We want to go camping with friends and i know the kids will love going outnin the boat.

Redcliff farm is just what you need. Launch on site into river into Poole harbour.

Yep great site, though its a bit of trek down the river to the sea, all be it a nice trek. Or turn left for the pub! Last year the ramp was a bit rough & holy, but ok at high tide.

Beware follow the channel markers once in the harbour or you will get stuck!!!

Thanks for the heads up. Does Poole Harbour have the same complex tides as the solent? Also do you know if the river is navigable at all tide states...

yes it is or was...as said you must follow the marker in the River Wareham.. its only mud but shallow even at a highish tide.

Similar but it tends to stay in rather than out if that makes sense. Plughole is quite small

River is navigable at most tide states, have come down from the pub in a spring low before. However the slip is most certainly not unless you have a sib.
