cant play out on the river dee

Went to collect my future from relatives garage today, deflated it, put all kit in car, fuel stop for car and boat fuel tank.

All set for my second trip out, drove to chester (sandy lane launch) to play on the river dee

Place was packed, unable to park and launch because of a canoeing event ......GUTTED

On a positive note at least we stayed dry as the weather wasn't great

Very tempted Chris, nat did mention this last month
The only thing is I've not used it in the sea before
Would I not get left behind by the big boys in the flash ribs?
Is anyone taking kids along?

there will be plenty of kids, BIG and small

as far as I know, it's open to anyone who thinks they can make it, and there will be others about to offer advice etc, if nothing else you would get the chance to go through the straits will everyone else up to puffin island, if it's too much for you just turn round there and have the rest of the day in the straits having fun

Very very tempted

Would love to try out my sib in the sea

Would it be easy to launch with launching wheels?...... I don't have a trailer yet, sorry for daft questions but the only time I took a boat in the sea a tractor towed us in/out..... Obviously can't do that without trailer

just let the temptation get the better of you

there is an ideal launch site just up from Ty Calch for you boat with your launching wheels, short run down the beech to the water, plenty of parking if you arrive handy. Don't worry if you just want to run up to puffin island, no reason to do more than you want to. the main thing is we all have a good, safe day out on the water, you decide how far you want to go, just enjoy yourself

As much as id like to stay for the hog roast I think I'll be heading back to warrington not too late with two tired kids, just in the process of persuading the family that I'll be sensible and not be trying to get as much air as possible on the waves (white lie....lol)
