Hi, I went down to Cardiff marina last week and asked the same question to a guy there. He said he's seen small boats go through it no problems, but you need to ask for a passage from barrage control in advance on your VHF radio. Personally I'm going to speak to the barrage blokes directly as it looks quite daunting!
