Your complaining about taking a sib when you go out but happily take your entire home with you 🤔
In our case we wanted the benefits of a rib but also needed to tow a caravan at 3.8m we could hand launch our car topped rib at pentewan for free, back then coincidentally my daughter is booked for next year & is taking her sr5.4 are you saying its £25 for tractor launch/recover or £25 to launch any boat at pentewan now

Absolutely whatever works to get on the water is whats best for the individual. Showing folk different options might help them find a method that works for them

I'm not complaining, just questioning the logic of it, if it works for you then happy days, whatever works to get you on the water

It was 25 for a tractor launch and recovery and 17 a night for storing the trailer on site, I never went after that conversation.

Hmm was that storage charge for trailer storage while you were staying elsewhere? My daughter paid £50 extra for her boat for a week over the usual site fee & £25 for a tractor launch seems reasonable it costs more than that here in largs to launch with your own vehicle.
Pentewan has to rank as one of the best camping/boating/watersports destinations in the uk,charging a premium for the use of the place is to be expected but if you were put off by the cost then you'll never know why it's so popular.

I have to correct myself here, it was £7.50 a night for boat storage on a trailer, it wasn't just the cost it was the weather as well, It was raining in Cornwall and sunny in Dorset, that's the one bad thing with Cornwall, the weather. Once spent 3 weeks in Fowey and had 2 days without rain in August.

We ended up in Dorset, Redcliffe camping which is £10 to launch yourself (if your stopping on the campsite) and £2 to store it.

Haha we always thought the weather in Cornwall was great but maybe that's because we were coming from the frozen north😉
