Cevni

how many people on here have CEVNI?

I have just completed coastal PB1 & 2 this weekend and got ICC but I am told I need to have CEVNI to go on our inland waters and/or French inland waters.

True or False???

If I need to do it I will do it online - any tips?

Great fun on the Solent this weekend though with StormForce Coaching! :0)

There's a few of us on here that did it prior to our Paris trip.

You don't need it for UK waterways, it only applies to European Waterways.

Before you do the test get a copy of this book: RYA European Waterways Regulations (the CEVNI Rules explained) | | Shop | RYA)
Practise for the exam by seeing how you do on the rya interactive cevni mock test: RYA Interactive

It is possible to wing it without memorising the whole book if you're prepared

Hi Bongy

I think there has been a slight mis understanding here. You do not require an ICC or a CEVNI to use the inland waterways of the UK.

If however you plan to use the inland waterways of most of Europe then you do need it.

If you want to go for the CEVNI you basically spend an evening or two learning the symbols from a book and then go online for the test. If you decide you want to do it email us and we will send you a link for the book or sell/post you the book.

There is some general info about the CEVNI test in the joining instructions we sent you. There is also some further info on the ICC at ICC & CEVNI | Stormforce Coaching

Glad you enjoyed the practical course.

cheers Doug

Really enjoyed it and Andy was great (very patient!) and a credit to your business

I'll be doing it this week sometime as I clearly hadn't done enough revision when i tried it with Andy yesterday - failed miserably :0(
