>>>Let's look at this a different way. For similar money to one of these budget SIBs, what more reputable older SIBs would be available on the second hand market?

Just on this point the values of used sibs this year has been so high £500ish leaves you in the lower end of the market and I'd rather that new Northern Diver one which as Steve says should work out of the box to get you on the water and have a reasonable resale if you decide it's not what you want.

Hi Tommy, from the information I could gather (why don't companies train their salespeople properly!)

Leisure Series Air Deck - 2 ply 0.7mm.
Aluminium Deck - 3 ply 0.9mm
Commercial Series - 3 ply 1.2mm

The 3.2 @ £499 is an Airdeck not an ali deck as stated on their website.

WHy don't you take a trip down Tommy, it's only 1.5 mile of J27 - 30/35 mins.

I see the Boatworld boat is that little bit more expensive.

If the Boatworld one you are looking at is:-

https://boatworld.co.uk/product/boat...-deck-360-copy

The main difference I can see is the pvc fabric, Boatworld @ 0.9mm and Northern Diver @ 0.7mm

The other thing that will make a difference in the price is the ND sib is existing "old" stock. I think NDs new stock will be closer to £600-£650

Looks smart in black Tommy. Pics and a review of your first time out would be good.

Fingers crossed I'll have my outboard sorted by then.
I purchased a 2005 2 stroke Yamaha 5hp with hardly a scratch on it and only used on a tender back and forth to a moored yacht.
Due to recent circumstances, it's been sat in a locker for nearly 2 years.
First problem a bolt snapped removing the impeller housing. 2nd problem oil seals on prop shaft needed replacing. 3rd and hopefully last, thermostat solid and water galleries full of salt. Check out the engine forum
