Have a run up river to

a. Dittisham - pontoon with walk shore. Ferryboat pub and Anchor Stone Cafe both good place for lunch right on the water

b) Stoke Gabriel - depending on tide you can get shore - lovely riverside village

c) venture further up to the Maltsters at Tuckenhay - haven't been for quite a time but be very careful of the tides and stick to the channel- I' ds only do this on a rising tide!

After time boating, before returning over the river have pint at the Ship in Dock - at town end of Coronation Park, far cheaper and friendlier than the Floating Bridge.

Enjoy

I agree with everything lakelandterrier said except if it’s a nice day, the roof terrace at the Floating Bridge is fabulous - also we’ve always loved the food there and found them very friendly.
I am biased though as that was the nearest pub to the college. Always known as the floaters in a geordie accent!

Try both
Food at FB is good especially the fish & chips (the "small" is more than adequate!) - but pricey- as are the drinks. I agree good view from the roof terrace.

Point to note, there is is a layby that takes 2-3 cars just above the the 3 houses by the Higher Ferry- there is a sign that says Private No Parking, but it is not true, it has no legal validity. May reduce your ferry costs.
