Deck compatibility

I was wondering if a sib can take a different type of deck. For instance, can I put an inflatable deck in my wood deck sib?

My Suzumar 320 came with a wood deck. Can I upgrade it to aluminum? If yes, what are the advantages?
Can it take an inflatable deck instead?

I am not planning anything in concrete but it would be nice to have different options for different situations.

I converted a Zodiac 2.8M SIB a few years ago from a wooden floor to an airdeck.

Beware the Airdeck is much thicker and has the effect of spreading the seam where the bottom meets the tubes.
I had to strengthen this seam inside and out with strips of PVC glued on.
