Derwentwater
I looking for any information on Derwentwater.We go camping each year over the August Bank Holiday and a site on the shore of the lake has taken the groups fancy.
We usually take a selection of watercraft, from kayaks to ribs and lots in between. Finding boating information is proving a challenge, I know its got the 10 mph speed limit and compared to the other navigable lakes its shallow, but thats about it.
The only information I can find is an old scan of some basic lake info on a kayak site. Has anyone taken a boat up there ? How shallow is it ? Is there a warden on the lake ? any pubs on the lake with jetties? etc etc
I will probably take a couple of sibs, inflatable kayaks and a sailing dinghy and or windsurfer.
