I wear a dry suit for cold weather dinghy sailing. I could undo the long horseshoe-shaped zip that goes up the side of my chest, round the back of my neck and down the other side, pull my head out of the neck seal, pull my arms out of the sleeves, slip the braces off my shoulders, drop the top half of the dry suit, and pee, then put it all back on again, or I could just undo the pee zip for ready access to the exact part of me I need to get out. I know which is quicker, easier, safer, and keeps me warmer.

As for trouser pockets, my drysuit has one small waterproof zipped pocket suitable for a phone or car keys. Anything else goes in a dry bag for when I need it.

From memory, I've owned 3 membrane drysuits and 1 neoprene drysuit over the last 30 years or so. I would not have one without a pee zip.

Two zips two failure points, front zip shoulder to thigh no need to undress just open the zip very quick especially at sea the less time the suits open the better. IMO

Or with you buying a dry suit say it all?

Because it was a flotation suit rather than a dry suit. Still got wet launching & recovering if I had to hold the boat whilst the trailer arrived. Got wet arms if I had to reach into the oggin to pull up the anchor or pick up a mooring. End of the day it wasn’t the right tool for the job.

Fair point if you have a diagonal entry zip. Never had one of those.

That is about the only advantage of having a “keyless” car

Agree on dry suits try lomo they should be localism and have a good range https://www.lomo.co.uk/acatalog/Drysuits-Surface.html

I have a musto drysuit of some sort, not sure about the model anymore. Rather basic and all that, but works well for what I do. Wouldn't go out without it, except maybe in the absolute summer somewhere in the med.
