remember with a neo neck you have to roll it inwards to be water tight, this changes the way it sits and feels if you've left it extended.

A cone overnight is usually enough to stretch one, but do it in stage, not too much in one go.

Yes trying to perceiver but I am sort of thinking summit is not correct. I ordered the largest suit they had XXL and I am well within the parameters of the other measurements but cant honestly understand how someone of say 6 foot 3 would have a neck much smaller than mine. It is so tight I think you would actually not be able to breath

I will see if Crewsaver come back to me but I am not holding out much hope

.

Ahh I did not know that. If you roll it inwards however I would think that would make it more tight.

Have to look on You Tube

Not during lockdown I aint (Haven't been in a shop for 8 months and dont intend to any time soon). Also way too expensive and I am sure some sales guy would try and convince you to have the neck tight cos your life depends on it. To be honest the rest of the suit fits very well indeed and it is easy to get on and off and incredibly light weight and seems excellent quality. It is just the neck that is the problem. If I could pluck up the courage to cut it to make it fit I think it would be an excellent suit and to be honest I am not that worried about the seal at the neck.

Might just send it back and stick to waders and my Fladden flotation jacket but waiting to see if the stretching works over night and might even pluck up courage to get the scissors out

you can stretch it over a bucket, you can put a dart in it and you can cut it down if its a long neck falling that send it to say lomo water sports and have a new neck fitted

i have a 19 inch neck and only about 3 inches between my shoulders and my ears so i can sympathize .i bought a typhoon hinge with neoprene neck and at first it was bordering on making my face purple i could definitely feel the pulse in my neck but i have found after a few hours use its now all day comfortable still tight but i no longer get uncomfortable . the latex cuffs on the other hand gave me pins and needles in my shovel like hands at first so i stretched them with a couple of empty stella bottles one weekend that helped .what really helped was poking a finger through one getting the suit off one day and having both replaced with neoprene cuffs

Neck and wrist seals are a consumable. If you cut it and it’s too slack or fails you can replace it. I know it’s a pain with a new one but when the one you have wears out you will be faced with the same dilemma. Best way is as Jeff says pull it round something then use a Stanley knife or something similar

Hammond are down south and make to measure from measurements you supply give them a call very helpful.

As for radio I use a divers lanyard £4 from a guy on Orkney https://orkneysportinggoods.com/prod...vel-snap-hook/

They will deal with customers elsewhere in the UK so long as they are polite, I realise that might be a struggle.

Sounds painful - I'd have just bought a longer drysuit.

There's the irony. You wanna pee in a wetsuit. In the warm comfort of a drysuit, yer kiddeleys don't work overtime to the same extent. My long desired p-zip rusted up through lack of use. Ironically.

That confirms my suspicions. I'd concur with the above posts that recommend stretching it a bit.

Well it has been stretching now for about 20 hours and so to the moment of truth. It is a lot better and I can now wear it without feeling my head will explode. It is still quite tight so I am stretching it some more on a larger pot.

I made the video below so that people can if they want take the P**s in order to try and help others.

You can see at the end how much it pushes up my bull neck which I accept is fatter than many.

It is 15 degrees C outside and it did seem quite hot inside and I only had on very T shirt and shorts.

Generally for me the XXL is a good fit and relatively ok to get on.

Here you go then have a good laugh

Letting all the air out of it will make it more comfy.

Well maybe I could wear it the other way round in case I need a dump.😉

I have given the neck another stretch over night and it is again improved. I think I will now keep the suit.

I am wondering however if I need to store it with the neck stretcher in place incase the neoprene tries to return a bit to the pre stretched size.

Now to find a bag to keep it in I think.

Apart for the neck it is far more comfortable than I thought it would be.

It is also quite possible to wear it with you head out of it to say do all the launching a tasks where you might get hot. then once on the boat put it on properly.

Thanks for all the good advice I received as I was initially deffo sending this back.

How much I use it of course remains to be seen
