eBay Avon CRRC 450

Been to look at this and it's absolutely shot, the transom is so rotten that you can push your finger through it and its mostly rotten away at the top.

The keel tube is leaking but couldn't see why because of the floor and the hypalon isn't great either, nothing like the pics on the advert.

It could all be repaired but it's not for the faint hearted

I just sent him this....

Hi There.

Could you confirm that the transom is solid as i see there is an ally sheet covering the transom.which usually means its covering something nasty.
Can you confirm its not rotten please

Many Thanks..
Just got response.....

Hi,

Thanks for your interest. As mentioned in the advert the transom is in fairly bad shape and the wood would probably require replacing.

Regards,
James

I'm not saying don't bid on it, but the way the add is written you can miss that the transom needs replacing.

I sold my CRRC 520 on here for about £550 ish and the transom was solid, because of the weight and force of a 40hp outboard the transom really needs to be replaced professionally.

I have no idea how much this is worth but I wouldn't part with much for it

You guys are too critical...
What you see before you would make a stellar WPCC (Waterfront Pub Crawl Craft) with a wee electric motor bolted to the back. If it blows too hard, just leave it and take a cab.

Cheers, Squid

To be honest I think you would have wet feet and a green bottom before the first pub

But it might be a great project for someone who really wants one and can do the work
