I thought it was the closed season for household jobs. October-March is the chores season. AFAIK it’s illegal to carry out any internal works in the Outdoor open season I.e. April-September [emoji848]

I hear a rumor that the Ruskies insisted they all have Honwave trim tabs now

Don't... I've already looked round the garden for some old fence posts to space the transom wheels beyond that floor lip.

Just a thought prompted by Terry, Tel1965... now this batch of Ellings has arrived and we will all be doing different stuff with different setups and outboards would it be worth a combined thread... certainly for an initial period?? Might make it easier to keep track of sharing ideas and getting experienced comments from those already with one.

Sort of an Elling KB350 collective?? Or maybe folks would prefer to plough their own furrows??

Yes that would be good for those of us looking inwards, all in one place. I think its just 4 new owners here isnt it?

Thoughts from an interested bystander would be that a combined thread for setup any mods etc would be a good idea, and make it easier for the group to collect any commission from Boatworld. However, it would make a more interesting read if "maiden" voyages were kept seperate.

Well after nearly 300 posts and over 9000 views the (sea) eagle has landed. I will start a new thread from now on with its first inflate and all the setup mods that follow. I'll link it here in a few mins. Fellow owners and interested parties free to join in or just do your own thing.

In celebration of the Elling arrival after its 2000ml trip I'm harking back for today's lunch to my younger times and the typical liveaboard food which was a staple of our trips.... not sure they had a Balti back then though.

Look forward to it David. That's the new thread of course

Fray Bentos and I never saw eye to eye until Gaviscon came along.

BTW from my perspective must round off this thread with thanks to Boatworld. The only delays involved were an unexpected regional dispute between the area the factory is located and Putin's tanks... a situation genuinely outside the scope of the supplier!

But otherwise over the three months since I placed a deposit Boatworld have been helpful, friendly and above all constantly kept in touch with updates. Once the delivery was within their control it was spot on to the day and despite the difficulties and heated SIB market they kept to the stated price.

Oh and they sent a great colour catalogue of their stock which unlike a website is so much easier to flick through and find yourself things you never knew you wanted.

Well done guys.

I must agree with David about boatworld. They were very helpful today when I picked mine up. Everything was there in boxes waiting for me. Definitely a recommended supplier by me.

Only as long as we can have a separate section for Excel/Ribcraft/Halmatic/Redbay et al.....and then the Highfield bois will want in, & the anti-Chinese faction will demand a vote whether to let them in or not, that will be close & the British RIBs will want to breakaway......

I was just about to post a query about availability on these. I’m keeping an eye out for a long term replacement for my Aerotec when it finally falls to bits.

Then I just saw these are made in Ukraine so can cross this off the list for a while
