engine stand

me again ..

I guess I'm going to have to get an engine stand? or make one...
any ideas out there for a cheap stand? I'm not a chippy but I suppose one could be cobbled up with wood? could a wheelie bin be used?

You could bolt a piece of timber onto a cheap sack truck...

Here's a 160 pound 25 hp hung on work bench in back of house.
Three sticks of wood and some good long screws.

Pack Rat, that's neat and simple for the non-mobile variety

I made one from some old rafters. 2 uprights, 2 cross pieces and 2 feet (these extend a bit to the front and a long way to the back). This is non-mobile but I am planning on adding wheels that touch the ground when tilted.

i have just made this one up , using the original zodiac launch wheels and some ally and timber i had in the shed , sort of a transform on legs and wheels works really well with my 25 mariner and 15 yam even up and down the steps onto my decking
for the studs at the bottom i used 8mm coach bolts with penny washer behind ,which leaves the square nut behund the head for the slot in the wheels to slide and locate over works perfectly
