A friend of mine has offered to sell me his Suzumar DS290. It is a few years old, but looks to be in nice condition. It is 2.9m long.
My question is, what do you guys think? is this a reasonable make? How much should I be looking to pay?
Also, what size engine should I be looking to have on the back if I get it? and are SIB's safe? I love the idear of being able to stick it in the boot, but always worry about hitting something whilst out, and seeing my engine, and everything esle sink?!?!?!
All advice greatfully recieved

Crickey were to start ,firstly have you had any experiece with sibs or boats come to that., SAFE in the right hands /one has to be competent and confident to go out, there is a lot of safety equipment that is needed that may not come with this sib? i don t know this sib specification ,i have heard of the brand and there will be a alloy plate on the inside of the transom with the spec of what horse power is recommended for this sib, there are some fantastic people on here that can give you excellent and valid advice ,im sure they will be on here to help you,i hope that I have just gave you a little to think about ,ive only had a sib for three years but i have been around boats for a long time with my friends ,and its still a learning curve to me, good luck fella
