futura

Hi everyone
I have the opportunity to purchase a zodiac future air floor with speed tubes and launching wheels in excellent condition I think it is approx 4.50 in length with
30hp Suzuki two stroke both bought brand new about 15 years ago or so, boat has been extremely well looked after and has no repairs.
Its a pal of mine and I have been on the boat and it goes really well.
He is offering it me for £2000 wondering if this is good value and if there would any issues to consider with it being the age it is
Regards
John

Hi John, any pics? I’m assuming it comes with a trailer too?? Without seeing it it does sound like a cracking deal, and as you know bang for buck that’s a grin factor 10/10 boat set-up too.

Glue failure will happen at some point... perhaps already starting unnoticed... perhaps next year... two or three years time if you are lucky... it's very individual to the boats storage/use history but very common when you get to the 15+yrs period.

That doesn't make it a bad boat to buy just factor in the nuisance/cost of likely repairs at some point.

Dude the only thing I will point out is that if you’re gonna be self launching be mindful of the weight of these things, a 4.5 futura with airdeck is around 90kilos and that motor will be handful too to muscle about in and out of a car or van etc so will require some pretty big guns or 2 a man job. I’d make sure the engine has had a recent service for piece of mind.

Silly Q Johnny...so if it’s not got a trailer but left inflated on zodiac launching wheels....how are you getting it to water?? I’m guessing you live not far from a slipway??
