Futura shaft length?

Hi there

Just want to double check that I need a long shaft for an 4.2 futura FR
It's an 06 year and has the pointy cones and Not over sized tubes like on
the newer models.
I'm looking to get a 25 or 30 tiller.
Thankyou for any advice
Andy

I cant remember the exact dates but I think your Futura may be a short shaft. I know the 2002 was short shaft, but cant remember what date they changed to long shafts.

Can you measure the transom height to confirm ? Its an expensive mistake if you get it wrong.

Ok thanks
I will measure transom on Sunday as getting the boat out, the zodiac
Specs data online seem to be for the current models, I wish it were short
shaft as there seems to be more around for sale.
Hope I can sort this and put my mind at rest.
Thanks again

Mark 1, 2, 2C are short shaft, Mark 3 is long shaft.

Happy Boating
