Glueing hypalon to a transom, any top tips ?

Im renovating a 1979 zodiac classic 2250 (Its going pretty well so far).

Tonight I rubbed down the transom as the varnish was coming away in small to large flakes over most of it. The aim of it was returning it to form and ensuring it stays protected. As I went about this task I noticed that some sections of hypalon have either come away or were very loosely held on and easily peeled off. Luckily its not a lot and I think very repairable.

Ive read some stuff online about re-glueing a transom and even though its only fairly small sections I thing its relatable.

The Plan
Use Bostik 2402
Glue the hypalon directly to the wood before any varnishing.
Note:- I have removed the flakes of old varnish from the underside of the hypalon and both surfaces are prepped, also I know to do 2x coats (as thin and even as possible) with 10 mins between application before I stick it.
And I will mask off so I only end up with glue where I need it.

If I do have anything wildly wrong id love to hear about it before I go ahead and fuck this up.

Thanks in advance

Yep
Let the Pro's do if for you Mate!
That needs to be 100% right Splash....
Temperature...Humidity...Curing...Timeings ..Materials ....ect
won't cost you very much....and for me worth every penny to get it done correctly ...and have peace of mind.

Or things could possibly come completely "un-glued" quick time!
