gps

Hi all ,anyone use an EXTERNAL arieal for there gps on there sibs,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just got a standard horizon,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,and orderded the wrong one doh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,i wanted INTERNAL arieal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,im gonna send it back and they should swap it ,not taken it out of the parcel,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,just read the letter with it ,just thought how would you mount one on a 270 metre sib? ariel thsat is

A little VHF antenna ratchet base screwed/bolted to the transom would do the trick - around £10

Swap it, far less hassle than running the wire.

That is rather a large SIB - only 23 metres shorter than the QE II
