So only another 48hrs to wait whist the adhesive cures, then a 4hr drive back to where you're staying and then ..............the big moment...........you pack everything away to drive home.

Aye, any self promoting, compulsive attention seeking narcissist wouldn’t let a chance like that pass by…

Right it’s fixed !

Tonino and his son build boats for Nova Mare and the coastguard, million pound 12m ribs and he humbly drops on to mine and after 3 attempts removes the valves and patched the holes with 3 layers of PVC and I’m back in action. I bought him a bottle of talisker single malt and gave the man a big hug and said thank you, how much do I owe you ? He said just pay for the glue £20 !! What a hero.

We have 4 days left to use the boat - time enough to explore the beaches and coves of the gulf of orosei thank god

Will add images later but for now - I’m good

Excellent. Sounds like they went above and beyond for you. It would be worth giving them a little review on Google to help others find them in future too.

I’m welling up here! 😢

I love a happy ending.

If the glue was failing, and personally I’m stumped, as the steps taken should have worked if the material was roughened and degreased. If it’s PVC, even a **** repair would hold. I’m can assume the glue is poor quality or it’s blooming due to humidity.

A Google review is absolutely right, but these are commercial boat builders they don’t sell to the public they sell to the trade

I’ve been welling up a few times on this journey. I had to change my alternator on my T5 at the hotel parking lot in France and then drive five hours to Dijon it’s been emotional. I’ve got four days left to enjoy the boat with I’m going to take it to La Maddalena island and go cruising around the fantastic beaches in a day or two.

Similar modus operandi to ND then, don't sell S&R to the public.

FFS don't forget about training your crew!

Lmao how could I training is on. I want my three trainees up to powerboat level two in the next four days which should be achievable as it only takes two days to complete the course in the UK.

Do me a small favour and stop taking the Mickey out of me. I’ve spent significant time and effort preparing for this trip and I have spent thousands on it come on Steve have a heart

I’ve even managed to fashion a tachometer, the relies on the HT leads signal to give the revolutions per minute reading so that I don’t overspin the engine

You mean one of these :-

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/394029860457?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=5xow5c7ftm-&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=MKizq4aqR8u&var=&widget_ver=a rtemis&media=COPY

Thought with "significant preparation" you would have made sure the OB had the correct prop before you left the uk.

I do have a heart, I'm just cynical.

No cynical Steve this was fashioned in my workshop on eBay involved . My word you are cynical - too much so.

You don’t seem to get the point, we made multiple tests in the UK. However, the temperatures in the UK were not high enough to cause the glue to melt and the laminate because it was the wrong glue used in the manufacturing process. I really don’t know how many times I have to label that point There was no way of knowing until I actually got here who was 47°C when this happened now tell me when we get that kind of temperature in England.
