Thinking about purchasing a used 4-stroke motor for my zodiac fastroller. Have not seen it in person yet....but the pictures indicate 15 hp 2006 model. The sticker says BF15A. BAAS 1401550.....Cannot seem to find it on the Honda charts and wondering what year is it really? If someone has an idea, feel free to chime in. Thanks everyone
The serial number does not come up in a search on the Honda parts website and it pops up a notice that the database only works for motors after 2003 so is it before then??
Also if you pull up the Honda "find a manual page" your serial number range brings up a manual printed in 1999. If you click on the next manual down for the serial no range after yours starting 1600001 it is a 2001 manual.
Thanks Fenlander for the research, I also "googled" for a couple of hours. It is a 1999 15hp short shaft manual start HONDA. I called Honda and asked! The 2006 cover fooled me, (and the seller) thinking he had a later model motor. He took 200.00 off the price and I bought it sight unseen. (I had a buddy in Reno, Nevada scope it out). Going to drive 3+ hours to Reno to pick it up and hopefully stay away from the casinos!! Thanks again.
