Honda Honwave T30 AE pressure

Hi all, the above boat seems to want 2.5 bar of pressure in the tubes and 3.5 in the inflatable keel according to labels near the valves. Are these pressures mandatory for correct use of the boat? Or are they maximum pressure warnings so you don't burst it?

I've got a foot pump and a manometer (but I've never actually got up to those exact pressures before saying "heck that's hard enough, let's go".)

I'm looking at electric pumps but haven't yet found any that go anywhere those pressures, e.g. 1 bar best so far.

Pre-decimalisation 2.5 bar = 36 psi and 3.5 bar = 50 psi am I right?

Grateful for any advice.
Terry.

Ah hang on trouble with decimal point silly me, that's 0.25 bar and 0.35 bar. (Mutters : daft unit of measurement)

As you were.

Thanks Dave - I think 2.5 / 3.5 bar would result in a big bang lol.

Regards, Terry.

Indeed... you'd either now have a 4m SIB... or tinnitus!
