Honwave drain plug-advice please

Am i right in thinking this is a one way drain valve, can it be opened while underway ? if so minimum knots ? or would it not be recommended, I cant seem to find anything about it in the instructions which are fairly basic.

its a mushroom valve so long as there's no dirt in it, it self drains at any speed faster is a quicker drain.

Cheers Jeff.
Had a butchers online and finally went with Trident UK.
£8.64 delivered for a genuine Honwave complete one way drain valve assembly. Mine's been faulty since I bought the Sib 2nd from my uncle.

£30 is a bit steep.
It's just the rubber I need but I'll just swap the whole assembly over.

yes it is but if you swap out the whole thing it means breaking the seal through the transom.

I may just use the rubber mushroom seal in that case.
I'll have a butchers at it once the valve arrives in the post.
