Honwave T38IE Version 3
One or two on the other channel seem to have got their sweaty mitts on a few early limited supply. No reviews bar initial inflate and look at my shiny new boat so to speak
To be fair, with the ongoing lockdown shite, not sure how you expect to get any real on water feedback yet.

Actually took delivery of mine this afternoon. Opened the BF20 to make sure all Un damaged but left the Honwave packaged up due to work calls.....will unpack and inflate as a trial run at the weekend in the garden.
Planning on maiden launch down Medway in a few weeks, lockdown permitting, setting off from Gillingham Pier.
Anyone have any experience there, particularly how far you can head down the main channel even at low tide (Allington ?)

A quick update, All unpacked today in the garden to get used to the setup. Observations :
Having not seen it before fully inflated bigger than I thought in a good way.
Wide tubes which bode well for UK seas.
Feels really well screwed together
Optional wheels not optional ie would be pretty hard to move around without these
BF20 outboard is heavy but not unmanageable with 2 people, 1 yes a challenge unless you’re a big fella as it’s just akward weight to move around
Bravo pump brilliant, I guess you get what you pay for
Honwave cover not a great fitting but I got it cheap as part of the overall deal so not too worried.
Cant wait to get her out on the water; plan is a running in trip up the Medway launching from Gilingham Pier in a few weeks time.

Set up in the garden eh... sitting room not available?
Good to hear you like the look of it. I've only owned one Honwave and that was an alloy floor 3.5m which was well made and great value.

I know there is little that I can tell you about HP floors on sibs but all I would say is that having had Ali floor and air pressure floor on my T38IE (with Trim tabs) setting up an air floor is far far easier and less effort than the Ali floor.
I think if this new T38IE (Version 3) is as good as the previous one but without the trim tabs it will be a real winner and should regain the crown of being the king of SIBS once again. and at about £1,250 it is a real bargain.
Will be very interesting to see how one will compare against your Elling

Thanks smallribber
Sold my Seaspray 15 Supersport + 50hp 2 stroke Tohatsu which I had owned for 8 years as only used it 4 times in 2019. Before that had a small Excel inflatable 3.4m?
The lure of the sea & fishing became unbearable this year so bought the Honwave/Honda which arrived Wednesday
As a relative newbie to Honwave/Honda 15hp 4 strokes would appreciate some advice
Launch Wheels - is the length of these important
Trailer - Having unpacked the Motor & Boat I realise that the trailer I was intending to get hold of is needed now! (im 69)
Live in Christchurch 2 miles from Christchurch Quay so looking for a budget trailer asap - any info would be appreciated
If anyone is looking for advice or info about the local area let me know- I have been boat fishing just off Hengistbury Head since 2014

Launch wheel leg length is a personal thing. As long as the SIB is off the ground by a few inches that's the minimum but personally I like them extra long so there is really good clearance over kerbs and through potholes. Also I like the skeg to clear with the outboard in the first or second shallow drive setting not need to be tilted fully up.
The Trem (and Zodiac OE) models usually give this length I seek.
