How do you stow your stuff?
Wanting to make my 2.9m RIB tidier while on the water, I am looking for ways to stow and organise kit.
Kit might include a small box of fishing tackle, plastic box with a sandwich/fruit, etc, a couple of bottles of water or a flask, my phone (I carry a vhf on my person), another layer of warm clothing, you get my gist?
It would need to be waterproof and have a method of fixing in place out of my way. I keep an anchor kit in the bow, so would still want access to that?
These look cheap and cheerful, but I am dubious about accessibility/durability.
https://boatworld.co.uk/boats/boatwo...-boat-seat-bag
These look quite good and I like the idea of the fish finder mount, but cant see how that works.
https://www.specialistsmallcraft.co....nted-organiser
Anyone got experience with either of the above, or can maybe suggest a good alternative solution please?

Where and how do you fix them in place?

I use the cheap waterproof stuff duffel bags that appear in Aldi now & then. Tough as old boots, no sharp/hard edges & plenty of clips & straps to attach to the grab lines etc. Rods are in RailBlaza rod holders fixed to the transom. We have an under seat bag for sandwiches/water/phones etc.

Dry bags here also. Tough and soft so don’t rattle around and easy to clip on to boat.
As PD, rate the cheapo Aldi ones which appear randomly in store at some point each year.

I’d love one of those tube organisers but balls to paying £70 for one... maybe a Xmas or birthday list item...
I think one of those and a couple of the under-seat bags would cover all my needs at the moment.

I wouldn’t pay £70 for one of those either. Looks like one of the wife’s handbags to me.

I use the handles and tie to the hogging rail ropes use them to sit on whilst wild camping, I do use dry bags for certain things but find the barrels more versatile

I took the missus to Falmouth last year, the main intention being a visit to Trago Mills(she didn’t know that, I told her we were going because it was a beautiful old maritime town steeped in history [emoji6]). I remembered it from my diving/working days as a marvellous emporium of all things “man stuff”. How disappointed I was☹️. It’s a shadow of its former self, mainly stocked with cheap Far East imports, kids toys, cheap clothes etc. We were in & out in 10 mins.

The Liskeard one is better i think then both Falmouth and Newton Abbot but totally agree - not what it used to be, less surplus and more imported cheap tat.
That said some great bits do pop up and they do a lovely cream tea and pasty

Thanks for all the ideas guys.
The bow bags look really tidy, but can't see what I would do with my anchor, chain and rope.
Like the neatness of the rail organiser and the facility to mount a fish finder on it, but being able to buy a combination of the other options for around half the money, and there are other places to mount a fish finder, so its hard to justify.
My thoughts are to start with an under seat bag with bum padding as that uses dead space and provides a bit of comfort when bouncing across the waves.
Then, if needed, either a roll down and clip bag or two, or one of the screw lid barrels.

I keep anchor/chain/warp/pump/tools in the bow bag. No problems & keeps the weight forward.

My dad was a commercial fisherman in Falmouth and my mum lived there until she passed a few years ago so a visit to Trago was always part of a visit to her. It was definitely better back in the day. We've not been since we sold our place in Meva nearly 5 years ago. They were heading downhill then although I picked up a couple of Ugly stick boat rods for about 2/3 the best price I could find on line. Maybe we will visit the Merthyr store one day if we find go that way, but it wouldn't be a destination store for us any more.

I use dry bags for extra clothes, jackets, sandwich, flask, mobile etc and clip it to the grab line as per Pikey Dave & Chipko. Mountain Warehouse have a decent sale every so often and they are good quality.
For the anchor, chain, ropes, 5ltr fuel and tools, I made a bow box. Dual purpose, keeps things tidy and adds a bit of extra weight in the bow.
The bottom lip of the box fits under the tube and the strapped in fuel tank keeps it in place.

There is a bit of my rib where I can strap in a Wide neck drum in polyethylene (PE), rectangular, 40 litres. Its expensive so waited for present time. Also doubles up as a seat once at anchor.
