How do you strap on a gas tank to the front of a boat with marine plywood floors

26 L rectangular tank.

How do you do it ?

When you're building the boat run a couple of ratchet straps under the board. Now this only works on the solid rectangle sections of floor, not the forward bow or thrust board.

I went about it another way. I got a plastic euro crate / parts crate thingy, the tank is a perfect snug fit. Then put a couple of D rings on the inside of the tube and connect the euro crate to the D rings.

The crate isn't held down to the floor, but it doesn't really move around because of the weight. There was room to fit 4 tubes at the handle end of the tank to act as fishing rod holders.

Thanks for the replies.

I think I'm going to make one out of pressure treated plywood. Then seal and paint everything.

I'll attach a metal bracket on the bottom to secure it between the gap between first and second floorboard in the middle of the aluminum slots in the center of where you inflate the keel.

Ideally I want to keep some weight up front , so it needs to hold the gas tank, the anchor , and the lithium battery pack.

So I was out on the water today and I saw a cargo net in my Infiniti.

This is what I did:

The net holds a life jacket, safety kit, and of course a slice of pizza

OEM clips wrap around the handle.

Simple and effective

It might not be a woke comment but is there a net in that picture?

A wider angled shot is required, just to fully show how the net / tank system works.
