I think its time

I have been boating for quite a while now with a handheld vhf radio but no license so i think it is time for me and the mrs to get one does anyone on ribnet do them on a saturday i am willing to travel. Any saturday this month would be good.its for two people any help would be rather nice.oh and cost.cheers ben

I see you are in Bristol, I can recommend these guys, I did my VHF with them a few years back:

They are based at Portishead and have got a course running on the 11th Sept. and might have places.

Thanks, we are now booked on saturday next week, is this a easy course because my mrs is a bit scared she knows the phonetic alphabet but not a lot else, well nor do I really.

Get the RYA course book asap and get as much out of it as you can. It is almost impossible to fail but with the addition of DSC etc, theres a lot more to take in compared to the short range cert. The more familiar you are before you get there, the more you'll get out of it I reckon
