Any sort of closed cell higher density foam is ideal - kneeling pads or similar in a 50mm thickness are ideal. Just look on eBay.

I use airflo fishing cushions on top of the tubes of my Sibs. A velcro strap looped through the grab rope keeps them from falling overboard. Very comfortable and much better than sitting on a hard bench seat or tube.

Ah ha. You have both just given me a good idea.

I can buy that sponge stuff locally. And if I cover it with some sort of covering it would work well in the front were it's shaped pointy.

I bought some of these Multi Purpose Floor Mat Tiles - For Garages, Tents or Caravan Awnings | eBay
for my garage floor, handy when kneeling down tinkering with the bikes, easy to cut to the exact size of your floor and better than being sat on wood.
