idiot alert probable stupid question

2010 humber 5.5 . Anchoring

the rib has a tube on the tip of the bow , that im assuming has something to do with a anchor line . can anyone tell me how this works please , thanks

Do you have a cleat behind said tube? The tube helps keep the rope inline and not rubbing on the tubes as you are recovering it and if there is a cleat inboard, then while anchored. If no cleat I would recommend a line from the bow eye be installed aka a painter, so you have an way to tie the anchor off. Make sure the line is short enough so it can't get into the prop.

yes a stainless loop for the rope to run through then a cleat
