Inflatable Keel

I've recently bought an old Avon Rover R2-80, when I say old I really do mean old, I believe its a 1978 model.

It came without a floor, so I'm making my own (you may have seen my other queries on here), and no inflatable keel.

I've looked on line and have been unable to establish if a keel can / should be fitted on this model. There are two tabs inside, as per the attached photos, which seem to be in the correct location.

Can anyone shed any light on this please?

I can probably persuade somebody to part with an inflatable keel I know he has, if of course the length is correct and you decide you do need one.

If so, let me know the length and I'll see what I can do.

Nasher.

Thanks Nasher, that would be fantastic if possible. The distance between the two tabs is 54" (137cm).

Many thanks,

Mark

It's not from 1978, much newer.

On the transom and in the bow section there will be its serial number.

The last two numerics determine the year it was built.

Looking at it I'd say early 90's

My error, the serial number ends in A787 and I'd mistakenly thought I needed to read the A78 as meaning January 1978.

So, it looks like it's a 1987 model. Thanks for pointing this out.
