Inland waterways - Yorkshire

Hi guys, I'm new to boating, and the forum. We recently bought a 3m SIB with a 3.5hp outboard to see if we would use it before we made a bigger investment, and to keep me grounded whilst I hone my skills and knowledge. We've used it every weekend since it arrived. We've had it on the Derwent, and close to shore at Whitby on a calm day, but I'm finding it harder than I thought to find new places to take it. Due to the size of the motor it probably best to stick to inland waterways. Can anyone make any recommendations please? Ideally in or around Yorkshire as we have to rope my parents into baby sitting for now, so can't go too far a field. Thanks in advance . Andy
