I've been pleasantly surprised by TD Canada Trust home and auto insurance.
If your SIB package is less than $5K and powered by outboard under 30Hp it is covered under your home/apartment insurance.

Interesting - does that cover 3rd party liability too (sadly my home contents insurance doesn't and many of the harbours that I sail in demand £2M to £3M 3rd party liability insurance in case you liquidize someone with your prop) ?
