Jura colonsay and Scarba
Hi folks had some good weather up the west coast recently so me and my girlfriend headed off from Crinan through the corryvwrekan and down the west coast of jura, camped there a couple of nights then out to colonsay and camped there. The plan was to go from colonsay to staffa but the forecast was poor so we headed back to Crinan via scar ba and I'm glad we did as it's been wet since we got home. Here are a few photos hope they are of interest, apologies for quality just a camera phone
Cheers all
Duggie

Nice pics Duggie
Your missus looks a bit cold in the last snap[emoji32]
After a sweaty day in the Sib I went for a salt water bath on the Ribnet venture last week with my bar of carbolic soap.
It wasn't warm but it was very refreshing [emoji4]

Nice one Duggie - I was up that way a few weeks back and it's a wild stretch of coast for a SIB. Top marks for running out "solo" and for packing more camp entertainment than just a few cans of gravy...

Cheers willk, yeah it's about as remote as I'd do on my sib I think. There was a chap launching a rib at Crinan when I got back and he asked where I'd been and I was telling him. He was asking what boat I went on and I was saying this one - pointing to the honwave. He couldn't believe it and thought I'd used the honwave to come in off a yacht
Even though trips like this feel adventurous, I suppose in the days of radios phones gps beacons modern engines and so on its nothing compared with what folk used to get up to in the good old days! Still a lot of fun though!
Cheers

Oh - about 1Nm SSE of Malin Head, Donegal. It just popped up in front of me - 7-8m of shark clean outta the tide. I'm not ashamed to admit that it gave me a fairly substantial shock...

Looking over yer pics doggie - you manage to pack a wealth of kit into that SIB. How did the menu/cooking work over a couple of nights?

Yeah it was a bit of a squeeze. We just cook everything before we go then re heat it on the gas. Got a good cool box as well- freeze the beers before they get put it and they were still cold on the 4th day.
