Just got a Zodiac 285 Cadet!!!!

We really wanted a rib, but just couldnt find one that was in good enough condition for a reasonable price.

So we ended up with a 2004 c285 solid floor. Its in really good condition.

I thought PVC is suppose to fall apart after 8 years?

Really excited and cant wait to get out in it, we have a 96 8hp 2 stroke lined up that is in great nick.

If its been looked after you'll get a good 15 years out of a Zodiac. Boats that live out in the Aussie sun will die pretty quickly. Just make sure that when its packed away in a shed, keep it off the ground so that the mice don't make a meal of it.

Thanks, we are very excited. Here i was under the illusion it was only hypalon mice liked, bit worried now as we plan to leave it in the back of the wagon.

Didnt know they lasted so long being pvc. This one is about 8 years i think, but it looks great condition as has been stored inside.

The last two digits of the serial number on the transom will be the year of manufacture.
