Lamorna or Penberth?

Has anyone launched from either Lamora or Penberth Cove?

I'm thinking that either would make a great place to put in for a day of SIBing and on the beach at Porthcurno. I can see from Google Earth and Boat Launch that Lamorna looks the better bet but I was wondering if anyone has done this before and can offer some advice.

I'd be towing so would need to park my van and trailer - I guess Lamorna makes more sense as it's got a carpark and a better setup?

Thanks

Penberth Cove

Might be worth considering launching at Penzance & pootling round, via Newlyn & Mousehole. Nice slip that's good for any tide other than a lunchtime low spring

I'll have to give it some thought and weigh up the pros and cons.

It's going the way of several Cornish harbours that are deemed no longer viable to maintain.

That's really sad, although not entirely unexpected.

Charley boy ought to use some of his Duchy money keeping them repaired.
