Way back in the day, 20+ years ago, we used to launch at the sailing club slip. I think they put a pontoon in there now. The guy who looked after it was a real PITA & hated divers with a vengeance. There was an awkward 1 way system that took you around an impossible bend if you had a trailer, technically you had to turn left at the top of the slip. We used to stop the traffic (what there was if it) & turn right & go the wrong way down the 1 way system to the junction, which was only about 50m iirc. It might all have changed now. Beautiful part of the world though.

As Dave has hinted , Dale slip is tricky for anything bigger than a 4.8M . Don't let that put you off as there are loads of other slips in the Cleddau . We used to favour Neyland Marina for a berth with free launching just around the corner at the yacht club . Some folks preferred Milford Haven but you have to lock in and out each time . Do you have a mooring at Dale or are you launching and recovering each trip ?

About 10!yrs ago we had a couple of dive club trips there and used the free slip on the beach front. Needed to use a 4x4 on the beach. Then in the evening tied up the two ribs alongside the long floating pontoon.

It was all fine and easy. However that was about 10 yrs ago.

One of the local BSAC branches will give you an update.

Cheers Dave j
