Launching at Saundersfoot

We are taking our Aerotec to Saundersfoot on Friday for a week. We are camping on a site at Wisemans Bridge which, apparently, adjoins the beach. Has anyone launched from the beach there - there is a slip in the harbour but don’t really fancy dragging the boat there?

There are 2 slips one into harbour contact harbour master, I think weekly permits might be available and one private near the post office that used to have a number on it to call, either are a decent walk to the water at low tide.....

Thanks Hdav I was hoping to avoid dragging the boat to a slip as it will be pumped up from when we get there. Just wondered if it is possible to launch from the beach as it's quite light with a 15hp Suzuki on the back and the wife will help drag it to the waters edge?

Just back from Saundersfoot and had a great time - weather helped!! Found a great place to launch our Aerotec - Wisemans Bridge. At first glance it seemed impossible to launch but after a day of watching the tides we decided the best time to launch was at low tide and come back on mid to high tide. This enabled us to see the non rocky areas at low tide and come back over them onto sand when the water was high enough.. Although the tides were just right for us I imagine you could do the same in reverse! Parking is free too but you need to get there early enough. Plenty of places to see including Caldey Island, Tenby, Amroth etc and all free!
