Launching from The Strand at Gillingham

Has anyone launched from the strand at gillingham?

Its where the River Medway meets the sea pretty much.

Hoping to do it tommorow, i know the slipway is free to use just wondering about parking charges and if the slipway is passable at low tide.

Any help with the above and any extra points about this place appreciated.

Thanks

Yer, went to the strand, got there at about 8, strong incoming tide and a wind backing it up!!

Headed for allington lock and settled for more inshore waters instead.

Hopefully on a small tide and no wind i will retry.

If your boats on a trailer why not try up at the Thames Esturay,no licence required, not so much tidal flow in close, minnis Bay,Hernebay,i fish at minnis and have a cracking time, and only have a3.3hp outboard,on a flat calm day your set up will fly,my 4 m did with a 15hp down DYMCHURCH,hope this helps,Thorney
