'Will' as in guaranteed regardless or 'Will' as in ideal circumstances & perfectly laden?
Doesn't take much to knock a few knots off & I hope you won't be disappointed again.
Any chance of trying one - dealer demonstrator perhaps or someone that's got one, albeit it may have a different engine - so you are aware of the real world performance?
If you want a zodiac FC530, feel free to reach out. It’s in the US though… you’d have to export/ship. I’d recommend a full length floor built out of marine ply and coated in fiberglass for stability.
The MK-IV is the same boat. How we, the FC line has a bit more Hypalon overlapping in certain places as well as additional D-Rings and handles. Otherwise, they are same boat.
I’d let some of the 530’s go for $3,500/US. They are great boats and more comfortable than the 470’s (which we have as well).
According to the datasheet a Zodiac Futura Mk II or III with the alu floor will do 60 Km/h with a 50 or 60 hp engine respectively. That is a tad over 30 kn.
Here are some pictures of a 65hp high output on a wing 4.7 sib.
A lot of torque! But once you find the correct prop for your overall load, it’s an awesome ride. It really does come down to payload and how much weight you’ll have on board.
