Maiden voyage - can anyone suggest any thing for improved comfort?

We took out our SIB for the first time today.

We had a slight problem getting the new engine going - something about what OH did to refresh the engine made it take a fair few goes to get it running.

We were on the water for about 2 hours.
It was a good trip and we enjoyed it, though it did turn a little cold.
We are likely to want to get a bigger engine at some point - the 4HP got to river speed but not anymore.

Also, we found it to be fairly uncomfortable after awhile.
We have the seat that hooks onto each side but we didn't use it - I'm not sure how strong that is.
I know we are limited with space as it's only a 3 meter but can anyone give any ideas for seating or making it more comfortable?

Hi. I have a T40 and made padded bench seats. Really easy to do and cheap!

Sent from my SM-G920F using RIB Net mobile app

We finally gave up on benches across the tubes, and removed them. We have a few soft cushions and just set on the floor and use the tubes as a back rest. Wife took the bow, I get what's left.

What do you mean by refresh? I'm sure with some advice we can give this 4hp 4-stroke can be a first or second pull start.

I wonder where you sat to get uncomfortable? If the seat position suited you I'm sure it would be strong enough... we've had about 10 SIBS of different makes.... always use the seat... never broken one yet.
