mercury wiring issues ?
2008 mercury 60hp EFI outboard
the motor has the matching controls . also a rev counter and a trim gauge installed , these are both genuine mercury units but neither work .
first of all round a damaged live to both , rectified this hoping they would spring back to life , errr hell no
there is a signal wire that gives the gauge its signal , is there a way to test this signal with out owning a scope .
the gauges are £120 each , ideally I dont want to waste the money if they are not at fault .
the harness has additional wires marked up water temp also , anyone familiar with these , would be nice to have a oil and water gauge if possible ?
