Mersea Island

Hello all

As I should soon be getting the boat we had a trip to Mersea Island to look for a launch site. We found a slipway to the West but it seemed to have a very small car park and we were not sure if we had to pay for the launch.

Does anyone launch their Sib from Mersea and know the score and what places there are to park the car

Know it well. Launch from the hard next to the RNLI station not the wide muddy area further along. No charge to launch. Very little space at a high tide so a mid tide best. Yes parking very hard to find and near impossible at weekends. Rarely a space in the small car park by the pontoon and toilets but we always cruise past there just in case and then all the nearby roads are no parking.

I will PM you where we park and set up.
