multi tool

bought this to replace my very old Leatherman its lasted 30 years so no complaints.
i wanted something that was easy to store with enough tools to work on most things on the boat whilst on a trip. ive had a play with it & so far pleased good quality robust splits in half so you can use two tools at the same time like spanners & Allen keys

multi tool

I have an old version of this brand without the spanners, I carry it and a Gerber suspension.

I think this might replace them! Thanks for the heads up Jeff.

That looks interesting.
What's the bit at the top with the black bolt in it?

I do a lot of cycling, so carry it. It's a nice tool. My only criticism, is the parts don't move as easily as you'd like them too. The knife isn't really practical, so still carry your Crocodile Dundee machete! Also - don't leave it in the bottom of a kit bag after a trip out where it will rust in no time.

I’d agree but stainless spanner’s are two soft and it does rust unless a smear of silicon grease over it. The knifes ok for string etc but as you say I carry a this is a knife too. If you want to go full spec your gonna pay over a hundred quid for the pice of this buy new after a few years
