My new Canadian SIB

Hi folks,

I recently bought a new SIB from Vancouver, Canada and brought it home to Seattle. It's a non-generic make that you probably wouldn't see over in the UK so I though some folks on this website might find it interesting. Here are some photos of my purchase and first few outings.

Here's the link to the model from the manufacturer's website.

So far the boat has been a dream.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Great images.

That's not a brand we see over here as you say. I see it has welded seams which in the UK you only really see on Zodiacs... and an alloy transom on some models... is it Canadian built?

Should go well with that 30hp Tohatsu.

In the SIB's website images you mean... yes legs too short hence mounted the wrong way round. That would be a pig to move.... it's 4.2m and 127kg.

In one image looks like the transom wheel brackets are welded to the alloy transom.

At least 51% Canadian built, since it qualified for nafta when I imported it. The pontoons are apparently sourced from Zodiac

Didn't order the transom wheels. I launch it from the trailer.

BTW, looks like the links in my original post were removed!

It’s 100% Chinese origin, they use a factory in Qingdao China.

Zodiac does not produce private label product for anyone currently.
